This is a small business website. I collect as little as I need to have a conversation with you, and I don't sell or share it for advertising.
What you give me directly
If you fill out the contact form, I receive your name, email address, business name, and your message. Optionally, if you choose to provide them: your website, what you'd like help with, your approximate business size, and the kind of engagement you're considering.
If you subscribe from a blog post, I receive your email address, and nothing else.
I use this to respond to you and, if you've subscribed, to send occasional writing. I don't add contact-form submissions to any mailing list.
Where it goes
Form submissions are stored in a hosted database and emailed to me. This site runs on Vercel, uses Neon for its database, Resend to deliver email, and Sanity to manage blog content. Those providers process the data on my behalf in order to make the site work.
Analytics
I use Vercel Analytics to see which pages people visit. It doesn't use cookies and doesn't track you across other websites. I see aggregate numbers, not individuals.
Like nearly all websites, the hosting provider keeps standard server logs that include IP addresses for security and reliability purposes.
How long I keep it
I keep inquiries as long as they're useful for our working relationship or potential one. You can ask me to delete your information at any time and I will.
Your choices
You can unsubscribe from emails at any time using the link in any email I send. You can also email me to ask what I have on file, correct it, or delete it.
